Motorola teases mysterious wide foldable phone as potential iPhone Duo rival

Motorola expanded its foldable portfolio with the launch of the Razr Fold in early 2026, and it seems that the lineup is once again expanding. Shortly after the iPhone Duo announcement, the company teased a book-style folding phone, and it seems to have a wide form factor.
This teaser, which is a very short video, focuses on the history of the Razr phones the company has released since the original. At the very end of the clip, Motorola showcased an unreleased foldable that might just be a direct rival to the iPhone Duo and, of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (256GB curr. $1,649.99 on Amazon).
Unlike the Razr Fold, this teased foldable has a wide book-style form factor, but interestingly, the other phones were shown while being turned on, and this unreleased foldable was showcased while being switched off. There's a possibility of it being a dummy unit rather than a real phone as well. Regardless, while the front doesn't reveal anything, the clip gives a glimpse of the back, and it seems that there will be a horizontal camera bump, similar to the iPhone Duo and Xiaomi 18 Fold.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time a wide Motorola foldable phone has surfaced. A recent leak revealed what appeared to be the initial design sketches of the folding smartphone, and that also highlighted the wide form factor of this unreleased device. The company is expected to share more about it soon through upcoming teasers.
