Galaxy Z Fold 8 Special Edition could be in the works with iconic fashion brand returning

Samsung is known to partner with luxury fashion brands to promote its foldables. New information suggests the same is being planned for its latest success story, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (buy on Amazon). Details are scarce at this point, but there are a few contenders for the collab and one of them is Thom Browne.
The information comes from reliable leaker Lanzuk over on the Naver Blog. Citing sources close to the company, the leaker states Samsung is planning a luxury brand collaboration for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, releasing a special edition phone as it has done in the past. The frontrunner for this collab seems to be New York fashion brand Thom Browne.
Samsung has previously worked with Thom Browne on the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 5. The last two generations of foldables did not see a special edition phone, but it looks like the company wants to bring it back. Seeing as how well the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has been performing, Samsung hopes to keep the momentum going with a marketing push for the second half of this year.
Notably, Samsung has also worked with brands like Maison Margiela on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which could also be chosen for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Special Edition. At this point, the leaker isn’t sure which brand it would be, but is confident that Samsung is actively reviewing and planning for a collab.
