Samsung is said to be preparing a new flagship tablet for sale. It is believed to be called the Galaxy Tab S6 (or SM-T865) in order to avoid confusion with the pre-existing, much more budget S5e. It is rumored to ship with a 10.5-inch display, the Snapdragon 855 SoC, at least 6GB of RAM and storage SKUs of either 128 or 256GB.
The latest leak on this subject purports to disclose the Galaxy Tab S6's actual dimensions this time. They are apparently to be 244.5 x 159.5 x 5.7mm - which would make it even thinner than the iPad Pro 2018 against which it could find itself pitted on release. The Tab S6 may also use a version of the S Pen, which is said to slot into a channel on the tablet's rear panel. It could also be outfitted with a magnetic recharger.
Should this be the case, Agarwal also now holds forth that this stylus will get 6 hours of use per charge. In addition, this S Pen is also rumored to support Air Gesture or Air Mouse features, which, as implied by these titles, may control the (apparently 2560x1600 AMOLED) screen without touching it. This display is now also slated to be powered by a 7040mAh battery, which is capable of fast charging.
All in all, it now seems the Galaxy Tab S6 could even overshadow the Note 10 series, assuming they are released together at Samsung's next Unpacked event. On the other hand, Agarwal also now claims that the S Pen in question has its on-time cut down to as little as 30 minutes while using its new-fangled features. Lastly, the Tab S6 is now said to ship in one color only: Mountain Gray.
