The OnePlus 6T is one of the high-profile smartphones billed for an October release and details of the device have made their way across the media. Here's all we know about OnePlus's next flagship.

OnePlus is set to release its second device for the year, the OnePlus 6T, next month. Like with most of the company’s releases, leaks have been plentiful so far. In spite of that, the first CAD renders of the device only just surfaced earlier this week, giving us a clearer idea of what OnePlus is set to launch.

The 6T will likely feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, slightly bigger than the OnePlus 6’s 6.28-inch one. Going by the renders, it will sport a notch at the top. Thankfully, what we’ll be getting is the trending waterdrop notch, and not the rectangular one on the OnePlus 6.

The back of the 6T houses a dual camera setup, vertically aligned in the upper middle of the device. Initial rumors touted a tri-rear camera setup but that will likely not be the case. Gone is the fingerprint reader that we’d usually find just below the cameras. The 6T will ditch that in favor of an in-display fingerprint reader, another feature that’s starting to become the norm.

The 3.5mm headphone jack is one more thing the 6T will opt out of. This comes just a few months after the company took its sweet time to mock other OEMs for taking off the headphone jack from their devices. We have our opinion on OnePlus’s choice, but that’s a story for another day.

Lastly, the OnePlus 6T is said to be powered by a big 3700 mAh battery. This is a sizeable jump from the 3300 mAh battery on the OnePlus 6, and will likely please a number of fans who may see it as a worthy trade-off for the missing headphone jack.

Launch dates are currently unconfirmed but the OnePlus 6T may be launched on October 17.
