MagyarMicrosoft unveils the Dream Vapor Special Edition of the Xbox Wireless Controller in six colors
Today Microsoft announced a Dream Vapor Special Edition of the Xbox Wireless Controller, which is based on the Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition (approx. 53 euros on Amazon). The swirl has been carried over with only minor adjustments, and Microsoft is now offering six new colors, including Electric Vapor (green), Fire Vapor (red), Stormcloud Vapor (blue), Cyber Vapor (pink and purple), and Dream Vapor (purple).
Unlike the previous Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition, buyers of the new collection have the option of customizing the color of the buttons and stick. Metallic triggers and D-pads are also included as standard, as are rubberized side and rear grips, which should make the gamepad easier to grip. Microsoft even allows customers to add a personal engraving to the controller.
The pink "Dream Vapor" version unlocks an exclusive dynamic background for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The technology is identical to the regular Xbox Wireless Controller, from the battery life of an impressive 40 hours to the Bluetooth chip, which allows the gamepad to be used not only with an Xbox but also with a PC and Mac.
Prices and availability
The Xbox Wireless Controller in the Dream Vapor Special Edition is now available for pre-order at the Microsoft Store. The recommended retail price is 69.99 euros, regardless of the color, which is the same as most Special Editions in Microsoft's range. Delivery is expected to begin on February 6, 2024.
