Insomniac has quite a few Marvel projects to work on, and that includes the next Spider-Man game. As it turns out, it is already in production and is bringing back the team from the previous games.

Insomniac Games is gearing up for the launch of Wolverine in September, but that’s not the only Marvel project it has been working on. As per the latest leak, the next Spider-Man game is in development, even though the studio has not shared an official confirmation yet.

The fan account ‘SpiderManCD’ spotted an IMDB listing for “Marvel's Spider-Man 3,” which is still up for public viewing. It lists some familiar names like Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith, who worked on the previous game. Yuri Lowenthal will be returning as the voice of Spider-Man once again. While Insomniac has not shared any information about the next Spider-Man game, the status on IMDB shows "In production," suggesting it has moved out of pre-production.

That’s about all the information available on the IMDB page. For now, there is no timeline for the release but seeing as how the previous two instalments came out in September 2018 and October 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 can be expected in September/October 2027 at the earliest. It could even be pushed to 2028 since Insomniac is also believed to be working on a Venom game that was supposed to follow Wolverine.

To address the elephant in the room, i.e., a PC release, it is unlikely that the next Spider-Man game will come out for any other platform. Sony has made the decision to control/limit the number of first-party titles on other platforms, including PC. For the same reason, Wolverine will be a PS5 exclusive.
