The Redmi K100 Pro has been launched in China, and it features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, a newly introduced SoC. This flagship phone also brings a 185Hz display, and the starting launch price of CNY 3,699, about $548.

Alongside the Redmi K100 Pro Max, Xiaomi has released the non-Max version of the flagship phone. This one, however, doesn't feature the same exact SoC. Instead, it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series.

At the core, it's essentially a binned version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with a cut-down Adreno GPU. Xiaomi didn't share benchmark scores of the SoC, but the performance difference shouldn't be much from the regular version. The company paired it with LPDDR5X "Ultra" memory and UFS 4.1 storage.

Like the Pro Max, the non-Max Redmi K100 Pro has the D2 chipset, which, per the company, can offer enhanced gaming performance. Xiaomi claims that the phone can run competitive shooter games at over 144FPS, while open-world games are said to hold around 60FPS.

Another highlight of the phone is the 6.59-inch AMOLED display, which has a 185Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2510x1156 pixels. The peak brightness rating is at 4,500 nits, and the screen has full DC dimming for a comfortable viewing experience.

The Redmi K100 Pro has a relatively large battery as well. Specifically, the marketed capacity is 8,580mAh, and there's support for 100W fast charging in wired mode and 50W in wireless mode (Anker Prime 25W Qi2.2 dock curr. $99.74 on Amazon). There's 27W wired reverse charging support, and the phone can recharge devices at 22.5W wirelessly.

Camera-wise, this new Xiaomi phone has a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2.5X optical zoom support, and an 8MP ultrawide. A stereo speaker setup with Sound by Bose optimization, WiFi 7 support, and Dolby Vision support are among the other highlights. There are four color options available, and one of them has fluorescent material on the back.

In China, the Redmi K100 Pro starts at CNY 3,699, which is around $548, and this starting config sports 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The top-end option has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and it retails for a launch price of CNY 4,699, around $696. Xiaomi hasn't shared anything about global availability yet.
