After revealing a few specifications of its upcoming Pocket Max handheld in December 2025, Mangmi continues to tease retro gaming handhelds fans by disclosing the battery capacity of the device.
According to a post on the brand's social media channels, the Pocket Max will have a massive 8,000mAh battery capacity to go with its 7-inch 144Hz OLED display and Snapdragon 865 processor. Mangmi says users will be able to get more hours of gameplay as a result of the large battery capacity.
It is worth noting that this is the same battery capacity as that of the AYN Odin 3, which has a smaller 6-inch 120Hz OLED display but a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
In addition to the battery capacity, Mangmi has also confirmed the button colors for two of the Pocket Max's color combinations. The decision comes following a poll it carried out a few weeks ago after fans expressed their opinions on the color of the buttons for the white and black variants of the Pocket Max.
Based on the results of the poll, the white version of the Mangmi Pocket Max will have white buttons with orange markings/text as originally designed, while the black version will have black buttons with white markings/text instead of orange markings/text as seen on the initial render. The Retro GB color option will maintain its original design.
There is still no info on when to expect the Mangmi Pocket Max to be released and how much it will cost. However, we can expect a pre-order period with an early bird price, just as it happened with the Mangmi Air X (available on Amazon for $159.99).
