MSI has revealed the detailed specifications of yet another brand-new gaming monitor, dubbed the MAG 321UP X24. With an OLED display and support for high refresh rates, the fresh arrival is definitely an interesting addition to MSI's growing list of monitors.
The MSI MAG 321UP X24 packs a 31.5-inch panel based on 3rd gen QD-OLED technology. This tandem OLED panel sports a 5-layer design, which should allow for great longevity and brightness performance. Moreover, MSI also claims that its "DarkArmor" film manages to enhance blacks by as much as 40%.
MAG 321UP X24: 5-layer tandem QD-OLED display for excellent performance
The X24 gaming monitor features a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and a peak refresh rate of 240 Hz. Unsurprisingly, the primary benefits of OLED panels are all present, including but not limited to inky blacks, near-instant response times, and excellent color reproduction. MSI claims 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with Delta E of less than 2.
In simpler terms, if MSI's claims are considered to be true, the MAG 321UP X24 gaming monitor should be outstanding when it comes to picture quality. Its peak HDR brightness of 1300 nits is also plenty for almost any use case, although its full-screen brightness is unclear as of this writing. Based on the specifications we have so far, it would be safe to assume that the X24 should be more than capable of handling gaming as well as creative workflows.
The I/O on offer, however, is acceptable at best, featuring the following ports:
- Dual HDMI 2.1
- DisplayPort 1.4a (HBR3)
- USB-C (w DP, 15-watt power delivery)
- Audio jack
