MSI debuts Prestige 16 AI+ and Prestige 16 Flip AI+ with Panther Lake-H Core Ultra X9 388H and Arc B390 graphics

MSI previously offered the Prestige 16 in two flavors: a Prestige 16 AI Evo powered by the Intel Arrow Lake-H Core Ultra 9 285H and a Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Limited Editon featuring the Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 9 288V.

Now, at CES 2026, MSI is launching a fully refreshed Prestige 16 AI+ while also introducing the Prestige 16 Flip AI+ with Intel Panther Lake-H processors.

The new Prestige 16 Flip AI+ comes in a Platinum Grey finish while the Prestige 16 AI+ is offered in both Platinum Gray and Beige Gold color options. Both models feature a predominantly aluminum alloy chassis that tips the scales between 1.59 and 1.66 kg while measuring just 11.9 mm at the thinnest point.

The Prestige 16 AI+ features up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H Panther Lake-H processor with integrated Arc B390 Xe3 graphics that should theoretically match the performance of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU. The Prestige 16 Flip AI+ also offers the Core Ultra X9 388H but can be optionally had with a Core Ultra 7 355H processor with Xe2 graphics.

Both the Prestige 16 AI+ and Prestige 16 Flip AI+ come equipped with a 16-inch 16:10 2.8K OLED display that supports 48-120 Hz VRR, covers 100% DCI-P3, and are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600-certified. Being a convertible, the Prestige 16 Flip AI+ sports a touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and supports the new MSI Nano Pen that snugly fits into the laptop's groove. The Nano Pen even comes with a Press-to-talk feature to seamlessly converse with Microsoft Copilot.

Buyers can configure these laptops with up to 64 GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x-8533 RAM along with a PCIe Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSD.

Other features common to both models include 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, and 1x HDMI 2.1-out FHD IR webcam with privacy shutter and FIDO 2-compliant fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 6, a quad-speaker setup, and an 81 Whr battery that supports 65 W fast charging.

The new Prestige series will be available for pre-order from today with sales beginning from January 27.

Prices start from $1,399 for the Prestige 16 AI+ and $1,629 for the Prestige 16 Flip AI+ with Core Ultra X9 CPUs. The Core Ultra 7 variant of the Prestige 16 Flip AI+ will retail at a starting price of $1,549.
