Even amidst all the political tension, chip shortages, and ongoing worldwide pandemic, Intel and its OEM partners are managing to stay on track with launching their respective laptop PCs equipped with 12th gen Core CPUs before the end of this quarter. MSI will be one of the first major OEMs to make available more than a dozen different models in various SKUs all equipped with the latest Intel platform including the GE76, GE66, GS77, GP76, GL76, GL66, GF76, Creator Z17, Z16P, M16, Summit E16 Flip, E14 Flip, E13 Flip, Prestige 15, 14 Evo, and Crosshair 15. Many of these models were previously only available with 11th gen Intel CPUs or older.
The poster child of the new 2022 MSI models is arguably the Raider GE76 and its Core i9-12900HK CPU and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU which should easily outperform anything else in the gaming laptop market at the moment. The manufacturer has been sending out samples of its fully configured GE76 to press as a sign that the developers are confident in its benchmarks and overall performance benefits. Even so, potential buyers will want to keep in mind that it'll take more than a handful of different gaming laptops to paint a good picture of any particular processor since CPU performance can vary greatly between one model and another. The rosy benchmarks results for the GE76 will not necessarily translate to another model equipped with same CPU and/or GPU.
Expect our full reviews on the newest 12th gen CPU gaming laptops to come in the weeks and months ahead.
