Lexar unveils 1TB Armor Gold and Armor Silver Pro SDXC cards
Lexar has announced the 1TB Armor Silver Pro SDXC card along with the 1TB Armor Gold SDXC card. The cards are UHS-II, V60, and U3-rated, with read speeds up to 280 MB/sec and write speeds up to 160 MB/sec (Silver) or 205 MB/sec (Gold).
Both cards are encased in stainless steel, providing better protection against damage compared to plastic-encased cards, according to the company. As trade-offs, the cards lack a write-protection switch and ribbing alongside the contacts on the back.
With an IP68 rating, they are fully protected against dust intrusion and can survive extended immersion in water. Lexar also states they are also drop-resistant up to 5 meters (16.4 ft.) and shock resistant up to 1,500 G. The Lexar Armor cards are rated for use in temperatures from -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F). If any issues arise, the cards come with the free Lexar Recovery Tool as well as a lifetime warranty.
The Lexar 1TB Armor Silver Pro SDXC has an MSRP of $364.99 and will be available in Q4 2025 from the Lexar store on Amazon. The Lexar 1TB Armor Gold SDXC has an MSRP of $369.99 and will be available in Q3 2025 from B&H Photo Video.
