Lenovo releases two new lightweight tablets with flagship hardware
Lenovo has refreshed its Xiaoxin tablet range with two new options. For context, the Xiaoxin Pro 13 and Xiaoxin Pro GT13 have arrived less than a year after the Xiaoxin Tablet 12.1 and Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT that they effectively replace. Just like last year's models, Lenovo's new tablets differ in a few areas while containing the same display hardware.
In this case, Lenovo equips the Xiaoxin Pro 13 and Xiaoxin Pro GT13 with a 13-inch LCD that resolves at 3,504 x 2,190 pixels. Additionally, this display boasts up to 800 nits peak brightness with DC dimming support and a 144 Hz refresh rate. As a result, the two tablets are identically sized at 296 x 191 mm. However, the Xiaoxin Pro GT13 is slightly thicker and heavier thanks to its larger battery capacity.
Specifically, the Xiaoxin Pro 13 comes in at 6.2 mm thick and 581 g. Meanwhile, the Xiaoxin Pro GT13 measures 6.32 mm and tips the scales at 610 g. In other words, the Xiaoxin Pro 13 weighs about as much as an iPad Pro 13 (curr. $1,199 on Amazon). Apple's tablet is over 15% thinner than its Lenovo peers, though. Setting that aside, Lenovo includes a 12,000 mAh battery and 68 W wired charging in the Xiaoxin Pro GT13 and a 10,200 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging support for the Xiaoxin Pro 13.
Moreover, Lenovo equips the former with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and the latter with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Both tablets can be configured with optional keyboard and stylus accessories, though. As far as we can tell, the Xiaoxin Pro 13 is the Chinese version of the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 sold globally. There is no global equivalent to the Xiaoxin Pro GT13 yet.
