RedMagic teases new gaming tablet with multiple 'cutting-edge' technologies

The RedMagic Astra is about to get its successor soon, and the company has now teased the upcoming gaming tablet by sharing that it will come with "10 cutting-edge technologies." In the teaser, the brand highlights that the pad will come with an "ultra high refresh rate" display.

While there's no confirmation yet, a recent leak from Digital Chat Station, a well-known leaker, suggests that the upcoming RedMagic tablet will feature a 200 Hz refresh rate OLED display. This would be a big upgrade from the Astra, and it will give RedMagic's upcoming pad an edge over the latest Lenovo gaming tablet.

For reference, the new Legion Tab Gen 5 features an 8.8-inch IPS display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Moving on, the teaser highlights that RedMagic has opted for a "new luminescent material" for the display, which could lead to a better viewing experience. An upgraded cooling setup is also mentioned, which is touted to be "PC-grade."

RedMagic also mentions the Cube PowerGame Engine, which aims to offer an enhanced gaming experience with better image quality and reduced power consumption. As for the other cutting-edge technologies, the company points to the transparent and flat design of the pad. It's also said to come with a "top-end touch chipset" for a responsive experience.

It's worth noting that the upcoming RedMagic gaming tablet is rumored to feature the largest battery of its class (Anker Nano slim power bank curr. $45.99 on Amazon), and it will reportedly sport a compact design. There's still no official word on the launch date yet, but it's expected to make a Chinese debut sometime in March 2026.
