Lenovo releases new ThinkCentre AIO with Intel Wildcat Lake, 120 Hz display and 32 GB RAM
Lenovo has started the rollout of another all-in-one (AIO) desktop. Unveiled via PSREF, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 7 27 is set to be released across all regions except North America, including Europe. However, the new desktop missed out on making its way to IFA 2026, unlike IdeaCentre alternatives.
For the time being, Lenovo has restricted the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 7 to East Asia and Southeast Asia. Priced at HKD 9,063, KRW 1,547,850, MYR 4,160 and SGD 1,363 (~$1,065) in Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, the new desktop matches the single-core performance of its Gen 6-based predecessor, according to our benchmarks.
Conversely, Lenovo's Gen 7 model trails even the older Gen 5 (curr. $849 on Amazon) in multi-core workloads thanks to its reliance on 5-core and 6-core Wildcat Lake processors. At the time of writing, the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 7 can be configured with the Core 3 304, Core 5 320 or the Core 7 350. Almost a 30% performance disparity exists between the Core 3 304 and Core 7 350, despite being part of the same family.
Moreover, one can only configure more than 8 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM after stepping up to the Core 5 320 or Core 7 350. Similarly, only the latter can be paired with 32 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2280 storage is available across all processors, with four modems culminating in the Intel BE213 or Realtek RTL8922AE providing Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
Also, one can select touch or non-touch IPS displays at checkout. Both panels output at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, with 350 nits peak brightness, 99% sRGB colour space coverage, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
