The second generation ThinkBook 13X business notebooks from Lenovo feature the latest Intel i7 Alder Lake-P processors integrating Iris Xe graphics, up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1 TB of PCIe 4 NVMe SSD storage and a best-in-class display with 13.3-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel. Lenovo also includes premium AI-powered business software for meetings.

Lenovo’s second generation ThinkBook 13X business laptops improve on the original version adapted for hybrid workspace with unparalleled productivity ensured by the 12th gen Intel mobile processors and a set of innovative AI-powered features. This laptop lineup continues to be part of Intel’s Evo platform thanks to its thin, sleek and ultraportable design, plus it features a quiet cooling system and a best in-class display.

The chassis is made of premium Uni CNC aluminum (Storm Gray and Cloud Gray color options) with a 12.9 mm (0.5 inches) profile and a starting weight of 1.2 kg (2.67 lbs). On the display side, the 13.3-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel comes with anti-glare treatment, 16:10 aspect ratio, low blue light, narrow bezels and Dolby Vision 400 nit specs. There is also a touchscreen option.

Exact processor options are not yet specified by Lenovo, but the press release does mention i7 models, so we are most likely looking at Alder Lake-P 15 - 28 W CPUs. These integrate improved Iris Xe GPUs and can be coupled with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM plus up to 2 TB of PCIe 4 NVMe SSD storage.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0, while port selection is limited to 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a combo audio jack. Users can, however, opt to purchase a Thunderbolt 4 dock with more connectors. Other standard features include an HD webcam with IR sensor, ToF sensor and shutter, 2x 2W Harman / Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 2x microphones for enhanced voice-to-text typing, and a fingerprint reader on power button. The software suite includes an AI Meeting Manager that can translate voice streams into on-screen text in 14 supported languages and also provides webcam post processing.

As with most Intel Evo devices, the battery rating is limited as it only provides 56 Wh of power. Nevertheless, users can separately purchase a 100 W USB-C adapter with wireless charging mat. The ThinkBook 13X Gen 2 i comes pre-installed with up to Windows 11 Pro and will start shipping in April 2022 starting at US$1,099.
