Reviews for the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9
Lenovo has improved its multimedia Yoga Pro 9i 16 flagship of the G9 generation in several areas. The 3.2K mini LED panel with 1200 nits is optionally matte and accompanied by Advanced Optimus. We put the most powerful configuration, which has the Core Ultra 9 185H and GeForce RTX 4070 laptop, to the test.

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IMH9 is a high-performance laptop designed for creators. Its display, performance, and design cater to professionals who require a powerful yet portable device. Features like automatic boot-up and solid audio quality enhance its functionality. While the Yoga Pro 9’s battery life and higher price point may not suit all users, it remains a strong option for video editors, designers, and multimedia professionals seeking a reliable tool.

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i gen 9 is one of the best MacBook Pro alternatives on the market right now. This 16” laptop combines powerful performance with a striking design to appeal to creative professionals, gamers or casual users who crave spectacular visuals. The stunning 3.2K mini LED screen is a joy to work on and the dedicated AI processing chip should excite anyone interested in harnessing the power of AI. The disappointing battery life is the only thing that holds this laptop back from a five-star review.

At the time of writing, the fully-loaded model we had in for review can be picked up for £2,052 inc VAT (£1,710 ex VAT), including a 10% discount and a free Lenovo Bluetooth Pro mouse. You'll need to add £200 to that bill if you want a touch screen. In our view that's quite extraordinary value. For comparison a broadly similar Dell XPS 16 with the same GPU and CPU as the Lenovo will lighten your wallet to the tune of £3,039 inc VAT (£2,532 ex VAT) though that does get you a 16.3in 3,840 x 2,400 OLED screen. An M3 Pro MacBook Air with 32GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD will cost £2,999 inc VAT (£2,499 ex VAT). If you want something cheaper than the Yoga Pro 9i then the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED can be highly recommended and will do most of the things the Yoga Pro 9i can do, just not quite as quickly.

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 (16″) is a multipurpose device thanks to its great mini-LED display, capable hardware, and thin profile for a 16-incher. The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H can maintain a 3.50 GHz / 2.90 GHz P and E core clock in long loads and the GPU can easily handle its maximum 100W power limit when performing demanding tasks like gaming or running graphics-intensive software. The build quality is top notch as well as the input devices. The 3.2K display (CSW1640 (LEN160-3.2K)) offers a 165Hz refresh rate and an outstanding 1245 nit max brightness in HDR mode and 622 nits in SDR content. You can rely on a very good 2540:1 contrast ratio and full DCI-P3 coverage. The only downside here is the PWM usage.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
