Lenovo V15 review – an affordable offering with entry-level NVIDIA graphics solution
Source: Laptop Media English
Also, it was nice to see an SD card reader on it, as well as a dedicated RAM SODIMM slot, M.2 PCIe x4 support and a 2.5″ SATA drive bay. However, there is no USB Type-C to play with and its TN display is just terrible if you have to show someone your presentation. Typically for a TN panel, the viewing angles are horrendous, as is the contrast ratio. But at this price point, you are more or less left with no choice. If you are willing to save your piggy bank from its misery, you can go for the more professional HP ProBook 450 G6 or even the Lenovo ThinkPad E590.

There you have it. A 15-inch budget business laptop, that is no ThinkPad by any means but should be able to handle your daily tasks. We are glad to say that writing e-mails and building presentations will be great thanks to its decent keyboard, but in our opinion, you would be better of using a Bluetooth mouse, since the touchpad is not the best.

76.5% Lenovo V15-ADA Laptop Review: Not with this display | Notebookcheck
The distinguishing features of any entry-level notebook are a low price tag and simple hardware. Such devices are primarily intended for work. However, the screen of the V15 is not really fit for purpose. Read our review to learn more about the Lenovo laptop.

Lenovo: Lenovo ( "Le" as in the English word legend and "novo" (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. From 2004, the company has been the largest laptop manufacturer in China and got the fourth largest manufacturer worldwide after the acquisition of IBM's PC division in 2005. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company also produces monitors, projectors, servers, etc.

In 2011, Lenovo acquired the majority of Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Lenovo took over Motorola Mobility, which gave them a boost in the smartphone market.

From 2014 to 2016 Lenovo's market share in the global notebook market was 20-21%, ranking second behind HP. However, the distance decreased gradually. In the smartphone market, Lenovo did not belong to the Top 5 global manufacturers in 2016.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

NVIDIA GeForce MX110: Entry level dedicated graphics card for laptops that can be used with fast GDDR5 or slower DDR3 graphics memory. Renamed GeForce 920MX.

AMD Vega 3: Integrated graphics card of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 3 CUs (= 192 shaders) and a clock of up to 1100 MHz.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

Intel Core i5:

i5-8265U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.6 and 3.9 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.

AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):

3020e: Mobile APU that integrates two Zen cores (without SMT, therefore 2 threads) clocked at 1.2 to 2.6 GHz. The TDP is specified at 6 Watt and therefore the chip can be passively cooled. The integrated Radeon graphics card offers 3 CUs at up to 1000 MHz (Radeon RX Vega 3). The dual channel memory controller supports DDR4-2400. The chip is manufactured on the 14 nm process and officially counted to the 3000 series of mobile processors.

AMD Picasso (Ryzen 3000 APU):

Athlon 3150U: Mobile APU that integrates two Zen cores (with SMT, therefore 4 threads) clocked at 2.6 to 3.3 GHz. The TDP is configurable between 12 to 25 Watt (15 W nominal) and the integrated Radeon RX Vega 3 is clocked at up to 1000 MHz. Stems from the Dalie series of APUs (Raven Ridge Dual Core).

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

1.85 kg:

This weight is typical for very big tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 11-13 inch display-diagonal.

2.1 kg:

Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.

76.5%: This rating is not convincing. The laptop is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
