Leaker shares Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 prices following design reveal
Google is on the verge of replacing the Pixel Buds Pro (curr. $179 on Amazon), which has now reached its second birthday. For context, successors have been pictured a few times this week, coverage of which we have provided separately. Now, not only has @billbil_kun revealed how Google intends to market these names, but they have also revealed pricing in the Eurozone, the UK and the US.
For reference, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 have been shown in four colours so far. Ultimately, it seems that Google intends to colour-match its new earbuds with the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, which will be joined by the Pixel 9 Pro Fold too. However, the Pixel Buds Pro 2's colour names do not necessarily match those of its Pixel 9 series counterparts.
According to @billbil_kun, Google will offer the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in Hazel, Porcelain, Wintergreen and Peony. In other words, only Hazel and Porcelain will be homogenous colour names across this year's Pixel devices. Additionally, the same leaker expects the Pixel Buds Pro 2 to land on August 13 with a modest price increase over its predecessor. Specifically, the former is alleged to retail for £219, $229 and €249 in the UK, US and Eurozone, respectively. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen in what areas the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will improve upon the Pixel Buds Pro, other than the visual differences that we have described previously.
