Nvidia made available the GeForce RTX 3060 for laptops early last month with starting prices of only $1000 USD. Unfortunately, those entry-level laptops would come with just 8 GB of RAM and plenty of other cut corners just to meet the low price point. HP is currently running a much better deal on a GeForce RTX 3060 laptop for just $150 more.
Configuring the Omen 15z with 16 GB of RAM will net a final price of $1150 without any major cut corners typically seen on other budget gaming laptops. Users are still getting the latest Zen 3 Ryzen 5 5600H CPU, 144 Hz IPS display, and even two 256 GB NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. This is one of more rounded budget gaming laptops money can buy especially since the Omen 15z chassis in question is the latest design from HP.
