The HP Spectre x360 14 is barely two months old and Best Buy is already slashing $300 USD off its initial launch price. The 13.5-inch convertible can be considered a midway point between the smaller 13.3-inch Spectre x360 13 and larger 15.6-inch Spectre x360 15 when it comes to screen size and performance.
The most distinguishing feature of the system is its 3:2 3000 x 2000 resolution OLED touchscreen to contrast the 16:9 or 16:10 IPS displays of most other laptops in its size category. The squarer dimensions are better suited for web browsing and photo editing as a result while its 11th gen Core i7-1165G7 CPU is no pushover especially in terms of performance-per-watt. Everything about the metal chassis is visually luxurious as to be expected from a "Spectre" PC.
Main drawbacks to the system include the spongy clickpad and soldered RAM and WLAN. We also think the hinges could have been tighter for a better sense of longevity. Check out our full review on the IPS version to learn more about the chassis and its features.
