While there is a confirmed release date for Battlefield 6, the battle royale mode that is being tested in Battlefield Labs does not have one. Leaked videos have surfaced online getting fans excited, and also concerned about the game mode. Naturally, everyone wants to try it out for themselves and it looks like a release date has been attached to the game, if the latest information is accurate.
Ironically, leaker ModernWarzone posted on X that according to sources, the battle royale mode for Battlefield 6 will release on October 28. The game itself has an October 10 release date and as per the official EA announcement, battle royale mode started testing last week. This gives EA well over a month to get feedback from play testers before releasing it to the general public. It is unclear if there will be a public beta before the official launch.
The leaker does note that the final release date could change but as of now, October 28 is the planned launch. This does put it fairly close to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s launch on November 14. How this affects its player base, only time will tell.
Battlefield 6 battle royale will have an all-new map that has “a diverse array of tactical Points of Interest, each with distinct layouts and themes that offer unique gameplay opportunities.” There will be tactical destruction, just like the multiplayer mode. The playtest only features a four-person squad mode with 100 maximum players. Once launched, there should a more options for game modes, possibly including solos, duos, and trios.
