The State of Play event, which was hosted on YouTube today, was packed with exciting announcements, but one of the biggest highlights was the reveal of the Battlefield 6 campaign trailer. This is the first time we’re getting a look at the game’s single-player story, and based on the footage shown, it looks like DICE has done a remarkable job.
The trailer, now available on YouTube, showcases what DICE has been building for Battlefield 6’s main story. Players will step into the boots of Dagger 13, an elite squad of Marine Raiders tasked with stopping the rising threat of Pax Armata.
On top of that, many of you will be excited to learn that unlike the War Stories episodic structure that was seen in Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V, the upcoming game is finally returning to a singular narrative campaign. This means you’ll follow one storyline from start to finish.
The official PlayStation blog has also shared additional details about the characters who make up Dagger 13, which include Haz Carter, Dylan Murphy, Simone “Gecko” Espina, Cliff Lopez, and Lucas Hemlok.
While the trailer has given us our first look at the main campaign, DICE has not yet confirmed key details such as the total number of missions or how long the campaign will take to complete. However, as the full release is just a few weeks away, we can expect to see more details soon.
