The Jonsbo N6 NAS chassis was launched in China a few weeks back. The product has now gone on sale in the country, priced at 699 Yuan or just under $100. A global launch is unclear as of this writing, although the product should be available for import via AliExpress and the like.
The N6 NAS sports a design which allows for two distinct compartments - one for the main PC components, and the one below it for the drives. A total of nine 3.5" drives can be accommodated, and the upper compartment is crafted with the mATX standard in mind. GPUs up to 320 mm in length can be fitted, and the chassis boasts room for a total of seven internal fans.
CPU coolers, on the other hand, are supported up to a maximum height of 160 mm. One major advantage of the Jonsbo N6 NAS is that it houses a server-grade drive backplane, allowing individual drives to be hot swapped. Both ATX and SFX PSUs (Cooler Master V850 curr. $125 on Amazon) are supported, in three different locations as depicted in the image below.
I/O options are decent as well, located in a wooden panel running along the middle of the chassis. The exact ports on offer include a USB-C port (10 Gbps), a USB-A port (5 Gbps), and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. Nine drive status indicators as well as a three-speed fan controller are also present.
At 30.5 x 35.3 x 31.8 cm, or roughly 12 x 13.9 x 12.5 inches, the N6 is shaped like a cube, and the overall design is pretty easy on the eyes. The case is constructed from steel, with the exception of the I/O strip which is wooden in nature. As mentioned earlier, the Jonsbo N6 NAS chassis is priced at 699 Yuan or roughly $100.
