Japanese mini PC with 16-core Zen 5 CPU and 128 GB RAM launched at eye-watering price

Mouse Computer is a relatively lesser-known Japanese OEM that specializes in desktop PCs. The Tokyo-based brand has now unveiled the DAIV CX-A9A60 mini PC powered by the monstrous AMD Strix Halo APU.

The product measures in at just around 205 by 198 by 78.5 mm or roughly 8 by 7.8 by 3 inches. This indicates a volume of roughly 3 L, which is definitely on the higher side for a mini PC but is understandable given the sheer compute power on offer.

As of this writing, only a single variant of the CX-A9A60 mini PC is on offer, equipped with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU featuring the Radeon 8060 iGPU. The mini PC also comes equipped with a whopping 128 GB of onboard LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and a 2 TB SSD.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU is also found in several other high-end mini PCs, featuring a 16-core setup consisting solely of Zen 5 cores along with 32 threads. This allows the powerful APU to perform at the same level as an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX in multi-threaded benchmarks such as Cinebench 2026.

The powerful Radeon 8060S iGPU features a 40CU setup based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. This allows the behemoth of an iGPU to perform almost at the same level as an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU in synthetic benchmarks as well as real-life gaming performance. 

Moreover, the aforementioned 128 GB of unified memory can be accessed by both the CPU and the GPU, which allows massive LLMs to run locally. Needless to say, the memory is simply not upgradable. The DAIV CX-A9A60 mini PC does offer user-accessible storage, thankfully, courtesy of dual M.2 2280 slots.

The powerful gaming mini PC is already available for purchase from Mouse Computer's official Japanese e-store, priced at a whopping ¥949,800 (roughly $5,930). Given the company's tiny footprint in the global market, an international rollout is very unlikely.
