The Iqunix MQ80 is a hotly anticipated wireless, low-profile mechanical keyboard with a soft gasket-mount design and impressive battery life claims. The compact 80% keyboard has officially launched on Kickstarter with massive discounts for early backers.

Iqunix has officially launched the MQ80 on Kickstarter, revealing more about the new 80% low-profile mechanical keyboard and its impressive accessory package in the process. While the Super Early Bird 50% discount has already sold out, at the time of writing, there are still over 200 units available at the 40% discounted Early Bird price, which brings the total price to just $119. All pre-orders placed on the Kickstarter page will also include free shipping to “anywhere in the world.”

While we already knew that the Iqunix MQ80 would feature the same Le-Tray gasket mount as the Magi65 Pro we are in the process of reviewing, the updated Kickstarter page has also revealed that the MQ80 will ship with the same type of premium hard-shell carrying case, dust brush, and coiled USB type-C cable that was included in the Iqunix EZ63 (curr. $179.99 on Amazon) we reviewed recently. The MQ80 will come in both off-white (Moonlight Silver) and black (Shadow Black) colourways, and both will feature the same toned-down keycap design to match the productivity aesthetic.

The Iqunix MQ80 has a front case height of just 10.2 mm, a full-aluminium case, and a 4,000 mAh battery. Iqunix says that this should last up to 350 hours, and the keyboard supports both Bluetooth for low energy consumption and 2.4 GHz for reduced latency at the cost of increased power draw. The MQ80's low-profile keycaps are made of PBT, which, in conjunction with the Le-Tray mount, case sound damping materials, and flex-cut FR4 plate, should result in a soft, bouncy typing feel and pleasing sound profile.

Iqunix MQ80 price

Judging by the high early Kickstarter discounts, it looks like the Iqunix MQ80 will cost around $199 when it launches at its full price later this year. We have managed to confirm with Iqunix that the company is targeting an April–May window for the official in-stock launch on the Iqunix online shop. Iqunix also indicated that the pricing for the in-stock version may change, depending on how well the Kickstarter campaign goes.
