With the Hot 20 5G, it sure feels as though Infinix solely focussed on 5G as a selling point and ignored everything else. This phone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, but XOS lacks the optimisations to make everything run smoothly. While I did not expect phenomenal gaming performance at this price point, I did hope for decent daylight camera performance, which I didn't get from the Infinix Hot 20 5G. Apart from battery life and support for multiple 5G bands, there is little reason to check out this smartphone. Despite lacking a charger in the box, the iQoo Z6 Lite 5G (Review) seems to be better optimised in terms of software and also offers superior still image performance with its primary camera. If you are fine with a 4G device, you can treat yourself to far better hardware by choosing the Moto G52 (Review). It has a superior 90Hz AMOLED display, stereo speakers, an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance, 30W charging, and bloatware-free near-stock Android software.

The Infinix Hot 20 5G is a great value for money smartphone. It has everything you would want in a budget phone at this time – 5G connectivity, solid performance, good battery life, a big 120Hz display and much more. Day to day performance was smooth and I faced no issues. I wish Inifinix could have used an AMOLED panel rather than IPS. Other than that. I feel the camera performance could have been much better, considering they have used a 50MP sensor. Battery life was great but 18W fast charging was a bit slow. It would have been nice to see a 30W or 33W fast charging support. Nonetheless, no phone is perfect and the same can be said for Infinix Hot 20 5G. I have to say that Infinix has done a really good job with this phone.

The Infinix Hot 20 5G is a decent performer and also benefits from 5G capabilities. The phone also has a good battery backup and features a sturdy build. While it doesn’t impress in the camera and software departments, users prioritising processing capabilities should find the Hot 20 5G more than adequate for their needs.

If you are looking for a decent 4G phone that offers a wide range of features while at the same time offering decent specs, then you can purchase the Infinix Hot 20 without any further delay. It brings a good display, ample storage, and long-lasting battery life with beautiful camera results. All of these combinations come as a package and bring great value to the users. On the other hand, the Infinix Hot 20 5G slightly pushes the limits to appeal to interested users. Also, there’s no doubt that the company cut some corners in order to keep the price low. Besides this, the phone will provide a smooth refresh rate, a beautiful camera, 5G connectivity, and many more features than the 4G model. Both are good phones, and you should choose the one that best suits your needs. If you’re looking for an alternative option to Infinix Hot 20 5G, you might want to take a look at the Vivo T2 smartphone, which can give tough competition with its ample specs and features.
