Update version 11.0.15.10 for the Huawei Watch GT 2e smartwatch is rolling out to customers in China. The new firmware includes the preinstalled AutoNavi maps app and improvements to the device's sleep monitoring. It is anticipated that the update will be released in waves, becoming available to global customers later.

Huawei is rolling out another update to its GT 2e smartwatches in China. Firmware version 11.0.15.10 follows the recently released 11.2.15.10 that brought new features to GT 2 and GT 2e devices. According to the changelog, the latest update adds AutoNavi maps as a preinstalled app to the wearable, providing step-by-step navigation on your smartwatch.

Also included are improvements to the sleep monitoring function, though Huawei gave no specific details on the optimization. The company has also said that it has upgraded the system's stability, again with no particulars.

The update is already rolling out to customers in China who are currently running version 11.2.15.10 on their GT 2e device. The update is 125 MB in size, and it is likely to be distributed in waves, becoming more widely available at a later date. Before installing this update, Huawei recommends that users ensure they have installed the Huawei Health app first.

This is one of many recent updates to Huawei's wearables. Alongside the recent update to the GT 2, GT2E and GT 2 Pro devices, the company also published new firmware for GT 3 and GT Runner smartwatches.
