Huawei has started issuing a July 2022 update for the Watch 3, one of many smartwatch series that the company sells in multiple markets. Revealed last year, the Watch 3 series comes with a Pro model, plus 4G and LTE support, among other features. Issued globally as HarmonyOS 2.1.0.237, the update follows on from last month's HarmonyOS 2.1.0.236 update that Huawei issued in China.
Unsurprisingly, Huawei has not enabled digital car key functionality outside China, one of the major changes with HarmonyOS 2.1.0.236. Instead, Huawei has added Urdu as a system language, as well as enabling a 'Star River' watch face. Moreover, the company claims to have optimised the audio control centre, although it is unclear how. Moreover, HarmonyOS 2.1.0.237 should improve the audio streaming experience in certain scenarios, while also optimising system performance and stability.
As the screenshot below shows, HarmonyOS 2.1.0.237 is approximately a 158 MB download. Please note that you can only download the update through the Huawei Health app on a paired smartphone. Additionally, your Watch 3 or Watch 3 Pro must have plenty of battery life left before you attempt to install the HarmonyOS 2.1.0.237 update. The latest update for the Watch 3 series is rolling out now globally and should arrive as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
