Details about a Nova 9 Pro successor have emerged, 9 months after Huawei announced the Nova 9 series. Incidentally, hardly any time has passed since Huawei introduced the Nova 9 SE and Nova 9 SE 5G with Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 695 5G chipsets, respectively. While not all information about the Nova 10 Pro has leaked yet, official marketing renders have, as well as various other details.
On the one hand, @OnLeaks and 91mobiles shared CAD-based renders and dimensions of the Nova 10 Pro. Supposedly, the Nova 10 Pro measures 164.3 x 73.6 x 8.1 mm, making it and the Nova 9 Pro almost identical in size. Presumably, the Nova 10 Pro will weigh about as much as the Nova 9 Pro too, which tips the scales at 186 g. On the other hand, Tech Geeks has shared official marketing images on Weibo. Not only do the images confirm the accuracy of the CAD renders released by @OnLeaks and 91mobiles, they also confirm a few other aspects about the Nova 10 Pro. As the image above shows, the Nova 10 Pro has a 50 MP primary camera with an RYYB sensor.
Additionally, the Nova 10 Pro lacks a periscope camera and has one fewer rear-facing camera than its predecessor. Assuming the Nova 10 Pro follows the Nova 9 Pro's lead, it will also contain an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro or depth of field sensor. The two front-facing cameras from the Nova 9 Pro return though, as does a curved 6.7-inch display. Separately, Digital Chat Station states that the large display has a 2,652 x 1,200-pixel resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset.
Moreover, the leaker claims that the Nova 10 Pro will offer 100 W wired charging of its 4,500 mAh battery. So far, Huawei has confirmed that it will reveal the Nova 10 series on July 4. However, we imagine that this launch date applies to a China launch, not a global one; typically, Huawei releases devices in China first and in other markets at a later date.
