Huawei has presented the MateBook D16 in Europe, a cheaper alternative to the MateBook 16s that has also launched outside China today. Available with a choice of processors, the MateBook D16 comes with a free MateView GT 27 gaming monitor if you pre-order the laptop before July 31. For reference, the MateView GT 27 retails for €399 in the Eurozone.
As far as the MateBook D16 goes, Huawei has decided to offer this in Europe with three processor options. Specifically, the 356.7 x 248.7 x 18.4 and 1.7 kg machine is available with the Core i5-12450H, Core i5-12500H and Core i7-12700H. Configurable with 8 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, the MateBook D16 has just one SSD and display option.
Likewise, the MateBook D16 has a 60 Wh battery, regardless of the configuration chosen. Other features include a fingerprint scanner built into the machine's power button, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI 2.0 port and two USB Type-A connections. More specifications can be found in the table below, such as the inclusion of a 65 W power supply.
The MateBook D16 is available in the Eurozone from today in Space Grey. Huawei starts that the MateBook D16 starts at €949 with a Core i5 processor, presumed to be the Core i5-12450H and not the Core i5-12500H. In comparison, the Core i7-12700H will be available from €1,299, including VAT. Unfortunately, Huawei has not confirmed full pricing details yet.
