Reviews for the Huawei P40 Lite
The Huawei P40 Lite is the most affordable smartphone in the new P40 lineup. With its 6.4-inch display, the octa-core Kirin 810 SoC, 128 GB of storage, and a 48-MP four-camera system, it competes in the fiercely contested mid-range segment. Only one thing is lacking: There is no Google Play and no other Google Services. Our test shows how well the P40 Lite fares despite this lack.
In one area, the dominance is great! We let the current Huawei P40 series compete in a camera comparison. How big are the differences between the two top dogs, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro? Can the cheapest Huawei P40 Lite surprise positively as it did last year? Our review of the Huawei P40 smartphones will reveal this.

The Huawei P40 Lite puts in a very decent overall performance, providing over two full days of autonomy with average use — several hours more than the Oppo Find X3 Lite, but admittedly far behind the Samsung. Where the P40 Lite really impresses, however, is for how it soundly beats the Samsung Galaxy M51 for charging, and how it comes in just a few points below the M51 for efficiency. In short, the P40 Lite provides the best charging experience in its price range, along with very good efficiency, and even with a small battery, it’s not bad in terms of autonomy either.

Yes, the Huawei P40 Lite is not a perfect device and requires more app tinkering than any other mainstream droid phone. But it has the price and the specs to make your time worthwhile. In the end, the fate of Huawei is up to you, and your decision to support it or not.

Model:
Huawei has recently released its latest venture into the market, Huawei P40 Lite. This smartphone does offer everything that one could ask for but of course with some drawbacks. This model has been stated as an affordable powerhouse with absence of Google by some reviews out there. In terms of its display, P40 Lite has been introduced with a 6.4 inch full HD+ LCD display with 2310 x 1080-pixel resolution. The larger screen size does cater for a better user viewing experience as the details will be much bigger and better. The front design of the phone comes in with a punch hole in the top left corner of the screen which houses the 16-megapixel selfie shooter. While this front camera isn’t the best out there but it does cater for some decent selfie shots.
Huawei P40 Lite incorporates Kirin 810 processor which is paired with 6GB of RAM along with 128GB internal storage for users. Apart from that, this phone also comes in with a large 4200mAh battery which is a great plus point as it definitely improves the overall battery life. In addition, it has been supported with 40W super charge which again reduces the need for frequent recharging. Therefore, improving the overall user experience. It should also be noted that the battery size and wired charging speed in P40 Lite is obviously identical to P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro from the same company.
No smartphone discussions can ever be complete without focusing on the cameras. The primary camera setup included within the P40 Lite comprises a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It is worth mentioning that the quad camera setup has been arranged in the shape of a square which closely resembles the camera housing on the iPhone 11 and Pixel 4 series. Huawei has stated that the 4 rear cameras setup within P40 Lite manages to capture wider, sharper and more defined shots. On the other hand, the bokeh lens are said to be able to produce cinematic portrait capturing.
Despite such well-said camera setup, Huawei P40 Lite still tops out at 1080/30fps video recording. This simply means that the camera array within this model will not be able to perform 4K video capturing similar to its other competitors that are powered by Qualcomm processors. This might be quite disappointing for some video content creators out there. In addition, P40 Lite runs on EMUI 10 based on Android 10. However, due to the ongoing US Trade ban on Huawei, this model does not feature Google Mobile Services (GMS) and instead uses Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). Again, this might turn out to be a drawback for some ardent Google users. At the end of the day, the choice of choosing P40 Lite is an entirely subjective act depending on the user’s preference and interest.

6.40":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

77.1%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
