Reviews for the Huawei Mate 70 Air
Source: OI Spice Tech News

The Huawei Mate 70 Air is a slim and premium device that was announced and released on November 6, 2025. It stands out immediately with its ultra-thin 6.6 mm body, a lightweight 208 g frame, and IP68/IP69 protection, making it both stylish and durable. The phone uses Kunlun Glass for the front, supports a stylus, and comes in Black, White, and Silver. On the front, the large 7.0-inch LTPO OLED display looks bright and vivid, offering 1B colors, HDR Vivid, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 4000 nits peak brightness. The 1320 × 2760 resolution with 437 ppi delivers sharp details, and the 2160Hz PWM dimming helps reduce eye strain, making the viewing experience comfortable even for long use.

You're not going to believe this. The phone I'm reviewing today is so thin, I literally hid it behind a single pen... and you'd never know it was there. This is the Huawei Mate 70 Air, and it might be the most counter-intuitive, mind-bending piece of tech I've held all year. Huawei somehow managed to create a phone that's just 6.6mm thin but didn't cut any of the corners we've come to expect. My first thought was, "Okay, so the battery must be tiny, right?" Wrong. They packed a massive 6500mAh battery in here. It's wild.Join me as we unbox this impossible device and find out if this is the new king of thin and light smartphones.

Qualcomm Maleoon 920: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets, integrated in the HiSilicon Kirin 9020. Unfortunately, Huawei does not provide any detailed information. What is certain is that it does not support hardware-based ray tracing and only the older Vulkan 1.0 standard.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Kirin 9020: ARM-based SoC with 8 cores (1x HiSilicon Main up to 2.50 GHz, 3x HiSilicon Mid up to 2.15 GHz, 4x HiSilicon up to 1.6 GHz) and SMT of the 2 stronger clusters and thus 12 threads.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
