Huawei has been projected to launch high-end phablets that, while successors to the Mate 40 series, will also include a "50 X". However, the well-known leaker Teme, or @RODENT950, now claims to "debunk" this notion, although there will apparently be an E model that will share a flat screen with the vanilla 50.
Then again, it is good alleged news for fans of the Mate 40 RS, as the tipster indicates that Huawei has retained the Porsche partnership that makes those top-end SKUs with typically premium materials a reality.
A new render, also courtesy of Teme, may show how the alleged new Mate 50 camera hump will fit into this luxury design. It will apparently have a red ring missing in the vanilla 50 and 50 Pro. However, according to some text visible in the new image, all 3 will have the same camera technology.
These alleged collection of specs ("HI-1.8-3.5 13-90 ASPH") may be interpreted to imply a slight upgrade over those of the P50 Pro; then again, Huawei is also tipped to set the Mate 50 shooters apart as first-gen XMAGE cameras.
This branding is also present on all 3 devices as depicted in the new render. It is also, for some reason, also present in a corresponding location on cases allegedly belonging to the 50 RS. They are styled in a way very reminiscent of some of its predecessors; then again, this additional leak might be a bit less credible.
Quite apart from the fact that one has not-very-RS luminous yellow accents, the branding down the middle of the case does read "PROCHE DESIGN" rather than PORSCHE DESIGN as in Teme's render.
Finally, the leaker also presumes to dispel any remaining rumors of either a high-end Kirin SoC or 5G in the upcoming devices, although the 50 Pro and RS may retain their predecessor's profoundly curved screens.
