The new MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) sports a 165Hz 3K display, Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and is clearly designed for gaming enthusiasts. On the other hand, the dGPU-less model variant might be interesting for office users who still need a decent amount of performance.

The new Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) features a rather common design with a keyboard including a numeric keypad, large trackpad and numerous vents on the bottom of the chassis. The laptop is primarily intended to impress with an attractive price-performance ratio. Therefore, Honor opts for an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 VRAM in the highest configuration.

Thanks to a cooling system with two fans and a larger copper heatsink, the notebook can draw up to 150 watts in a performance mode that can be enabled by pressing the fn and P key. Honor has also launched a model variant without a dedicated graphics card. It features the same cooling system, which allows the processor to run at up to 85 watts even under continuous load, all while the fans supposedly remain fairly quiet.

Honor further advertises a 16-inch 16:10 display with a resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels, 500 nits of brightness, a 165Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 color space coverage. The panel also has a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Moreover, the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) features six speakers and a 75Wh battery, which is said to provide nine hours of battery life. Honor’s new laptop also comes with two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Price and availability

The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) is now available in China. With an Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, 32GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD, it sells for the equivalent of $894. The top version with the Core Ultra 9 285H and GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU is offered for $1,650. Honor has yet to confirm a global launch date, but in the past, MagicBook Pro laptops eventually made it to the European market.
