Honor asserts that its new tablet has "evolved" to be easier on the eyes than ever before, even if it is not a second-gen flagship MagicPad. Instead, the Pad 8's successor is backed to become the user's "ideal partner" with a new "soft light" display.
Prodigious leaker Digital Chat Station backs these claims up, having allegedly had some time with the Pad 9 (or "Tablet 9", as it might be known in China) and/or its marketing material in advance. Its new display is also thus now touted to be anti-glare and to offer a paper-like experience.
The famous tipster has also expressed appreciation for the Pad 9's new color options: green, gray and a white that has come in for particular praise due to an extra added oil-slick effect.
Finally, the Honor Pad 9 is tipped to launch with up to 512GB of internal storage, which is apparently "rare" for its category; then again, it has just 1 rear camera in yet another OnePlus Pad-esque hump.
Honor has scheduled its Pad 9 to debut on December 21, 2023 in China, thereby inviting speculation that it will be joined by the Magic6 series in doing the same on that day.
