The Honor 600 continues to develop its predecessor consistently. A brighter OLED display, larger battery, faster SoC and the new IP69K certification make the smartphone a successful upgrade. Small weaknesses such as the lack of 6 GHz Wi-Fi, wireless charging and the exclusively digital zoom do not tarnish the overall very good impression a little.

The Honor 600 is visually clearly based on the current iPhone, but convinces with high-quality workmanship, matte aluminum frame and IP69K certification. The 6,400 mAh battery grows compared to its predecessor, but is smaller in Europe than in China. The AI function for converting images to videos has been improved and delivers visibly more convincing results.

Honor continues to do without the 6 GHz band for WLAN, but still achieves high data rates in the 5 GHz network. The voice quality is good and the noise cancellation works reliably.

The 200 MPix main camera delivers sharp photos with good dynamics, but sometimes brightens subjects a bit too much. The ultra-wide angle takes decent pictures and is also suitable for macros, while the digital zoom remains usable up to about four times.

One of the biggest strengths is the OLED display. The peak brightness increases to over 8,000 cd/m² for HDR content, and more than 3,000 cd/m² is possible in everyday use. The color reproduction could be a bit more precise, but in practice it is not negatively noticeable.

The Honor 600 is a successful upgrade with a larger battery, more modern SoC, very bright display and finally comprehensive water protection. Battery life, workmanship and the six-year update warranty are convincing. The lack of Wi-Fi 6E, wireless charging and the lack of a telephoto camera are a shame. Thanks to the significantly lower prices, the Honor 600 still offers a coherent overall package and is an interesting upgrade option even for owners of an Honor 400.
