The Honor 600 Lite is a phone that gets the design, display, battery, and software experience mostly right. It looks premium, feels very comfortable in hand, has a beautiful AMOLED screen, and the large battery gives reliable endurance. I also like that Honor is trying to bring practical AI features, like AI Memories, rather than just adding AI for marketing. But the performance and cameras hold this phone back. The Dimensity 7100 Elite does not feel powerful enough for the price, and the camera system is quite outdated in 2026. So, the Honor 600 Lite is a good phone if you want a stylish, comfortable, display-focused mid-range phone. But if you care more about gaming, performance, or cameras, there are better alternatives in this price segment.

HONOR has quickly earned a reputation of making solid mid-range smartphones, and it has another one on its hands with the 600 Lite. It has a generous and bright display, equally generous battery, handy camera, and all the other aspects you’d expect of a well priced mid-range phone from a Chinese brand. There is, however, one issue, and it is actually to do with HONOR itself. While we can recommend the HONOR 600 Lite, for R1k more we’d actually tell consumers to get the X9d instead, which boasts a slightly better processor, far beefier battery, and stronger durability. There is nothing wrong with the HONOR 600 Lite, there just so happens to be another similar specced HONOR smartphone that we would favour.

The Honor 600 Lite smartphone is also known as Honor 500 Smart, designed to be a sleek and durable daily companion, announced and released in March 2026. It has a very slim profile at just 7.3mm thick and a lightweight feel at 180 grams, making it comfortable to hold and use. The build quality is a highlight, featuring a glass front and back with an aluminum frame. More importantly, it boasts an IP66 rating, meaning it is not just dust-tight but also protected against powerful water jets, offering a unique layer of ruggedness for unexpected splashes or weather. You can manage your connectivity with flexible SIM options, including the choice of a dual Nano-SIM setup or a combination with an eSIM.

The Honor 600 Pro is not the first smartphone to receive a price hike in 2026, and we reckon it won’t be the last either. What makes it notable is that it’s getting a S$200 price increase compared to its predecessor, while other brands have tried to limit their price hikes to S$100 or S$150. While it’s not unexpected, considering the recent instability and surge in memory prices, the increase is more than what most of us would expect. Hopefully, this is a one-off incident rather than a warning sign of more significant price hikes.

Honor recently dropped teasers, hinting at a N-series phone from their stable that will also have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a bright orange colourway. In a briefing, they officially took the wraps off their new Honor 600 series that consists of the Honor 600 and the Honor 600 Pro. Ahead of its official launch, we managed to get a sample for review and it’s certainly an interesting device indeed. Here’s our Honor 600 Pro first look and unboxing where we share our first impressions of their latest device. In the official literature, Honor has stated that their N-series phones which were primarily devices with midrange specifications will now be officially designated as a flagship series with equally top-shelf hardware with the teaser stating that it will sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset though which one exactly hasn’t been officially mentioned yet.
