Honor is looking good in the latest AnTuTu chart for midrange smartphones, with the Honor 30S powering into a strong second position with the help of its Kirin 820 chipset. Its score of 364,077 points sets it apart from those behind it, but it is still a long way off the 405,159 points managed by the OPPO Reno3 5G with its impressive Dimensity 1000L SoC.

OPPO might still have a stranglehold on both the flagship and midrange smartphone tables from AnTuTu this month, but there is a decent new entry made by the Honor 30S. Although the Kirin 820-powered device cannot catch the OPPO Reno3 5G, it does manage to fill the massive space that once existed between the Dimensity 1000L-powered smartphone and the rest of the competition.

Occupying third position is another new entrant in the form of the Vivo S6 5G smartphone, which utilizes an Exynos 980 SoC. Vivo has three devices in the top 10 midrange table from AnTuTu, as does Honor, while OPPO offers two smartphones in the chart and Redmi and Huawei both have one contestant each. Technically speaking, Huawei has four smartphones in the chart as Honor is a sub-brand of the Chinese OEM.

There is much fiercer competition in the midrange table for rival processor manufacturers in comparison to the Snapdragon 865-dominated flagship chart. There is a total of five different SoCs on show here: Dimensity 1000L (one device), Kirin 820 (one), Exynos 980 (two), Snapdragon 765G (three), and the Kirin 810 (three). It will be interesting to see how long it takes other OEMs to produce a smartphone featuring the very capable Dimensity 1000L.
