Since 2018, Meizu has taken to offering competitive, high-value premium phones, starting with the Meizu 15. Last year's Meizu 16 and all its variants built on that, and the Chinese company is now set to launch the next iteration in the series, the Meizu 17.
The Meizu 17 has made an appearance on popular benchmark AnTuTu, delivering solid numbers in the process. The phone recorded an overall score of 580,851. That's not the highest score we've seen on AnTuTu. Far from it, in fact, as that score would only place the Meizu at the ninth position on AnTuTu's leaderboard for March.
What it does, however, is confirm that the Meizu 17 will be powered by a Snapdragon 865. That was expected, really. While previous phones in the series have been priced at about US$500, it'll be interesting to see how the Meizu 17 is priced, considering the well-known cost implications of the Snapdragon 865.
