HP releases new Series 7 Pro 4K monitor with Thunderbolt 4 and 100 W Power Delivery
HP has started selling a new 31.5-inch IPS Black monitor, which it describes as the 'HP Series 7 Pro 31.5 inch 4K Thunderbolt 4 Monitor', or HP 732pk for short. As the company's official images show, the HP 732pk has narrow bezels, a relatively simple design and a comparatively narrow stand that supports height, pivot and tilt adjustments. Meanwhile, the IPS Black panel itself outputs at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the panel achieves a 2,000:1 contrast ratio thanks to its low black level, as well as 97% DisplayP3 and 100% sRGB colour space coverages. Moreover, HP claims that the HP 732pk peaks at 400 nits, for which it has received VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Although the HP 732pk shares these features with many competitors, it also offers Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with 100 W USB Power Delivery (PD), DisplayPort Alt Mode support and 40 Gbit/s transfer speeds.
On top of that, the sole Thunderbolt 4 port provides access to one USB Type-B (upstream) port, one USB Type-C port (15 W PD), four USB Type-A ports (5 Gbit/s each), a Gigabit Ethernet port and a DisplayPort 1.4 out for connecting a second monitor. Furthermore, HP has included single DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI inputs. Currently, the HP 732pk is orderable in the US for $879; HP has not confirmed pricing or availability for other markets yet. However, the monitor has already been listed on the company's regional websites, including across Europe.
