AOC Q27G20XM: New gaming monitor comes with mini LED and high refresh rate

AOC has listed a new monitor, the Q27G20XM, which is not yet available worldwide. At present, the monitor can only be found on AOC's Chinese website, and so it is still unclear whether the model will come to Europe or the US at all, or when and at what price. AOC is known as a manufacturer of various monitors and also offers other gaming displays globally, such as the AOC 27G15.

The 27-inch monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 as well as a mini LED backlight, which has 1152 independent lighting zones. This allows for content with different brightness ranges to be reproduced optimally. In HDR mode, the brightness is specified as 700 cd/m², and 1,000 cd/m² is given as the peak brightness when displaying high-contrast content. DisplayHDR 1000 certification is available.

The Fast IPS panel can display a refresh rate of 180 Hz, although this can only be achieved in native resolution when using a DisplayPort connection - the maximum refresh rate is limited to 144 Hz via HDMI. The gray-to-gray response time is specified as one millisecond, while G-Sync and AMD FreeSync are supported. The monitor is said to fully cover the sRGB color space with a Delta E color deviation of less than 2, and the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces almost completely.

Rotation, tilt and height adjustment are possible, and a VESA mount is available (100 x 100 mm). There is no USB hub or KVM switch.
