70% HP Spectre x360 16 review: The right 2-in-1 at the wrong time
Source: PC World English
The HP Spectre x360 16 is a decent 2-in-1 with a gorgeous OLED display and an outstanding design. It has a discrete graphics card, too—a rarity for convertibles. There’s only one big problem… the processor is obsolete. Intel’s Core i7-11390H was never an outstanding choice and today, with Intel 12th-gen Core processors hitting stores and AMD Ryzen 5000 processors widely available, it’s not suitable for a high-end device. The lackluster CPU performance and battery life makes it fall behind the competition. In fact, you can already buy the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 with an Intel Core i7-12700H processor – but only at Best Buy (for now). This model is not available on HP.com. It also doesn’t have Nvidia graphics, which is a bummer. Still, it shows additional 12th-gen Core models are likely to come sooner than later. I recommend waiting for their arrival.

2022 HP Spectre x360 16" Review - OLED + RTX
Source: Mobile Tech Review English
The 2022 HP Spectre x360 16” follows the 14” model’s redesign with a bigger 16:10 aspect ratio display, a less angular interpretation of HP’s old Gem Cut look and powerful internals for a 16” 2-in-1 convertible Windows laptop. Sporting an Intel H35 Core i7 inside and NVIDIA RTX 3050 graphics, performance is similar to the Surface Laptop Studio and it’s more powerful than the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. A 2-button pen is included. The PC has Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 6E and a 5MP webcam. As ever, it’s a premium, elegant aluminum convertible with pen and touch.

80% HP Spectre x360 16 Review: Big, Luxurious 2-in-1 for Creatives
Source: CNet English
There are also things like Wi-Fi 6E for the fastest wireless performance; an IR camera for face recognition, as well as a fingerprint reader to simplify sign-ins; and helpful software for managing system performance and content creation. Even if you're not a creative, all of the Spectre x360 16's features add up to a great two-in-one experience. It's something you likely won't mind working on every day. And with the additional graphics boost, you can do a little gaming in your downtime, too.

The HP Spectre x360 16 is one of the most stylish entries in the increasingly crowded field of not-quite-workstation laptops for creative pros and digital dabblers. (We're wrapping up this review and haven't even mentioned the Apple MacBook Pro 16 and Dell XPS 15 yet.) It has one notable drawback (a merely adequate quad-core CPU, versus some competitors' blazing eight-core chips), but one notable advantage: the 2-in-1 ability to switch from laptop to tablet mode. Its glorious screen pushes it very close to Editors' Choice award territory, but even as a near miss, it's worth a long look if you're partial to big convertibles.

HP Spectre x360 16 Review: It’s a lot of computer, but it’s awesome
Source: XDA Developers English
The bottom line is that this is a phenomenal laptop for creators and artists. That’s also why I say it’s not for everyone. The HP Spectre x360 16 is a lot of computer. If you’re looking for something that weighs three pounds and is comfortable to carry around, this isn’t it. This thing is big, weighing over four pounds. It’s awesome, but you have to want that particular kind of awesome.

HP Spectre x360 16 review: A big, beautiful convertible laptop
Source: Engadget English
As much as I love our review model's OLED screen, the better x360 16 deal is the LED-equipped $1,700 model with the same CPU, RAM and RTX 3050 GPU. It has a smaller 512GB SSD, but you can always upgrade that down the line. If you're less concerned about gaming performance, the entry-level $1,500 model drops the RTX 3050 for Intel's Xe graphics. As the only big-screen convertible game in town, HP could have easily phoned it in with the Spectre x360 16. Instead, it’s given us a powerful premium notebook that can do some gaming amid a flurry of Zoom calls, and look good while doing it.

80% HP Spectre x360 16 review: Finesse, not power
Source: Digital Trends English
HP’s replacement is the Spectre x360 16, a slightly larger 2-in-1 with a 16:10 display and some significant design changes to the iconic Spectre gem-cut design. The only problem? It missed the upcoming wave of Intel 12th-gen Core or AMD Ryzen 6000 updates, which gives it an uphill climb as we head into 2022. I reviewed the high-end $2,030 configuration of the Spectre x360 16 with a 35-watt Core i7-11390H, Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, and a 16-inch 4K+ (3,840 x 2,400) OLED display. It’s a beautiful, high-end laptop for sure, despite the shortcomings in performance. Buy the Spectre x360 16 for its display, keyboard and touchpad, and solid productivity performance. Just don’t expect it to keep up with the leaders in creative applications.

Source: Digital Trends English
The HP Spectre x360 16 is a very well-built and attractive convertible 2-in-1, offering a spectacular OLED display, an excellent keyboard and touchpad, and good productivity performance. Judging by just those measures, it’s a solid alternative as a large-format 2-in-1. The only concern is that many people buy large laptops for creative work, and the Spectre x360 16 underwhelms in this arena. It’s also using last year’s CPU, and it will fall even further behind in performance once laptops with Intel’s 12th-gen processors start rolling out. That doesn’t make it an unworthy purchase by any means, and there’s not a better 16-inch 2-in-1 on the market today. It’s just something to keep in mind as you pull out your credit card.

HP Spectre x360 16 review: A flipping delight
Source: Laptop Mag English
HP’s take on a 16-inch laptop continues to shine with a premium form factor and dazzling OLED touch screen that your eyes will ogle at no matter what you’re viewing. Its exemplary webcam, crisp audio, and comfortable keyboard and touchpad are icing on the cake, and its battery life is ample enough to keep you going (nearly) throughout the work day. While being a 2-in-1 laptop is just an added bonus, it doesn’t suit the 16-inch form factor it comes in purely due to its weight. Still, having the capability to use the laptop however you want is welcome, especially since it makes the most out of the stunning display. Clearly, it’s a shame this isn’t the 12th Gen Intel model; it would extend the laptop’s longevity and offer more promising processing power. The good news is there’s a 12th Gen Intel model coming soon, offering the same stunner of a display and specs as the one we reviewed. If 16-inch laptops are your jam, but you’re looking for that extra bit of butter before spending that bread, HP’s Spectre x360 16 (with an inevitably better 12th Gen Intel chip) will satisfy.

Source: L&B TechReview English
The HP Spectre x360 is a curious machine, and I can’t really see who it’s primarily targeted at. It’s too big, heavy and expensive to carry in your bag for most people. If it was the 3D performance that was the selling point, you can get much more for the price. And no one would consider gaming on a 60 Hz screen. The only thing that stands out positively about the Spectre x360 is the large and very nice 4K touch screen, which together with the pen can make the machine a workhorse for graphic artists. But even there, the price/performance ratio is somewhat strained.

HP Spectre x360 16 (16-f1000) review – for media consumers and media creators
Source: Laptop Media English
As expected, the Core i7-12700H can’t reach peak performance. Despite the use of the “Performance” profile within HP’s command center app, we see scores that are closer to last year’s Core i7-11800H. Nevertheless, this doesn’t make the laptop slow by any means. Instead, it is still exceptionally powerful. The dedicated Intel Arc A370M will surely bring even more graphics performance to the table, but you should be wary of its unrefined drivers. An RTX 3050 would have been a better suit for this device. This machine excels with its fantastic quad-speaker setup tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The keyboard is great too, while the fingerprint reader and the IR face recognition scanner give you double privacy protection. You see, there aren’t many convertibles that offer you such good hardware in a chassis that looks this good. Generally, you won’t go wrong in buying the Spectre x360 16 (16-f1000), but the high price might be offputting for many people.

90% HP Spectre x360 16 (2022) review: Now we’re talking
Source: Laptop Mag English
The question is: does the HP Spectre x360 16 fare any better with its 12th Gen Intel CPU update? Of course it does. While I wish the jump to the next-gen processor would offer even greater performance improvements, it still exceeds what it takes to be a premium 16-inch, 2-in-1 laptop that’s worth considering (especially with a $500 discount). HP’s take on a 16-inch convertible laptop already impressed me with its premium form factor and dazzling OLED touch screen, and now it's taken it a step further by bringing decent performance, too. Again, the 2-in-1 laptop is an added bonus, but it doesn’t suit the 16-inch form factor purely due to its weight. Still, for those that enjoy a sizable tablet — one that can be used with HP’s added Rechargeable Tilt Pen — it does a fine job. Now more than ever (until 13th Gen Intel processors start pouring in), the HP Spectre x360 16 (2022) should find a spot in our list of best HP laptops and best 2-in-1 laptops. Looking for a smaller Spectre? Check out our HP Spectre x360 13.5 review. For a stunning HP laptop that isn’t so ghostly,” check out our HP Envy 16 review.

HP's Spectre x360 16 is a premium 2-in-1 convertible with a new, high-res 16:10 OLED touchscreen and pen input. While last year's predecessor still used an Intel Gen 12 CPU, this year's model has skipped a generation and now uses a Core Ultra with an NPU for AI applications. Furthermore, the device has been given even more updates and in this review, we will be looking at whether they have improved the 16-inch Spectre.

HP Spectre x360 16 (16-aa0000) review – The Best 2-in-1 Just Got Better?
Source: Laptop Media English
The HP Spectre x360 16 (16-aa0000) is a multipurpose laptop with transforming capabilities. It looks stealthy, modern, and even distinctive thanks to the diagonal corners on the sides. The all-metal build feels premium to the touch and the rigidity is on point. The input devices are impressive, the backlit keyboard is comfortable for long hours of work and the enormous touchpad is smooth and accurate. No matter if you are going to use the notebook for gaming or maybe 3D rendering, you can expect snappy overall performance. That’s possible thanks to the competent cooling solution with two large fans and a pair of long heat pipes. That’s why the power is always there when you need it because of the high CPU frequencies even under prolonged periods is 100% processor loads. In this scenario, the two fans remain near-silent which amazes us.

As a 16-inch laptop, the Spectre should appeal most to that very market — demanding creators — but it’s simply too slow.

The 2024 HP Spectre x360 16 is a powerful, premium 2-in-1 that earns its high price with stellar performance and a sleek chassis design. This is a do-it-all device that can go from productivity tasks to gaming with ease. The inclusion of an Nvidia RTX 4050 discrete GPU takes performance up a notch, which is great for gaming as well as content creation. Overall, the Spectre x360 16 thoroughly impressed me in my hands-on testing. The large OLED display renders everything in bright, colorful detail and the speakers are some of the best I’ve ever heard on a laptop. 91.1% HP Spectre x360 16 convertible review: Now with 55 W GeForce RTX 4050 graphics | Notebookcheck
The GeForce RTX 4050 GPU runs laps around the integrated Arc 8 configuration. However, CPU throttling bugs are holding back the dGPU configuration from being even better.
84% HP Spectre x360 16 Review: Beautiful 2-in-1 Laptop Needs a Performance Boost
Source: CNet English
Yes, its size is a bit awkward as a handheld tablet and the RTX 4050 upgrade may not bring you the graphics performance you desire, but the HP Spectre x360 16 remains a versatile and well-designed two-in-one. Its audio-visual output is excellent and makes the system a great pick for general home use when you aren't using the giant OLED display for creative endeavors.

HP: Founded in 1939, the US company is a major server and printer manufacturer and one of the leading IT companies in the world. Until 2015, the company was called Hewlett-Packard Company. After a split, the computer division was renamed HP Inc.

In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.

With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU: Mid-range gaming laptop graphics card based on the Ampere GA107 chip. Offers 2048 shaders and is offered in different TGP (power consumption) variants from 35 to 80 Watt with different clock speeds and therefore performance. Older variant with 4GB VRAM.

Intel A370M: The Intel Arc A370M is a dedicated mobile entry level graphics card based on Xe HPG microarchitecture. It offers 8 cores (128 ALUs), 8 ray tracing units and a base core of 1550 MHz. The TGP is specified between 35 and 50 Watt.

Intel Arc 8-Cores: Integrated graphics card based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides all 8 Xe cores (128 Xe vector engines) and 8 ray tracing units.

NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU: Mid-range graphics card for laptops based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. Offers 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM (96 Bit) and is configurable with a TGP of 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Intel Tiger Lake:

i7-11390H: Tiger Lake (H35 series) based high end quad-core SoC for thin and light gaming laptops and workstations. The four CPU cores clock with 2.9 - 3.4 GHz base clock (28 - 35 W TDP) and up to 5 GHz Boost clock. The integrated G7 GPU offers 96 cores at 400 - 1400 MHz.

Intel Alder Lake-S:

i7-12700H: Alder Lake based mobile CPU with 6 performance cores and 8 efficient cores. The performance cores offer hyper threading, leading to 20 threads that can be processed. The CPU clocks from 1.7 to 4.7 GHz and supports vPro.

Intel Alder Lake-P:

i7-1260P: An upper mid-range Alder Lake family CPU featuring 4 performance cores and 8 efficient cores. This 28 W SoC is designed for use in ultra-light (yet actively cooled) laptops. Core i7-1260P's performance cores are Hyper-Threading-enabled for a total of 16 threads. This 12th Gen CPU runs at 1.5 GHz to 4.7 GHz and supports "Essentials" tier vPro features. Last but not the least, Core i7-1260P has a built-in 96 EU Iris Xe GPU, not unlike certain 11th Gen Tiger Lake-UP3 processors.

Intel Raptor Lake-P:

i7-1360P: Raptor Lake-P based CPU with a TDP of 28 Watt. Offers 4 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores and therefore 16 threads.

Intel Intel Meteor Lake-H:

Ultra 7 155H: A high-end Meteor Lake chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 16 cores (6 + 8 + 2) and 22 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 6, run at up to 4.8 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island) run at up to 3.8 GHz. The integrated AI Boost NPU offers two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration. This laptop processor's Base power consumption is 28 W while its Turbo power consumption is supposed to stay within 115 W.

16.00:

This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.

78.83%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
