Best Buy is now offering the 15.6-inch HP Envy x360 convertible for $300 USD off the original launch price of $909. The deal is notable for its modern 11th gen Intel CPU, Thunderbolt 4 support, and high-end metal chassis relative to the price range. Many other convertibles in this same price range would typically be a Pavilion x360 instead which uses lower quality parts.
The main drawbacks to the deal are its low 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Fortunately, as shown by our review, both RAM and storage and can be upgraded by the end-user as the modules are not soldered onto the board. Removing the bottom panel isn't exactly easy, however, as there are hidden screws underneath the glued rubber feet to dissuade end-user tinkering. You'll want to be careful to not scratch the chassis when removing the bottom panel.
Another drawback is that the FHD IPS touchscreen may cover just 59 percent of sRGB instead of >90 percent as on most pricier laptops. Graphics editors may want to consider the Spectre x360 15 instead for its superior colors over the Envy.
