Reviews for the HP Envy 17-W0Q29AV

There's no doubt about it: The HP Envy is a premium laptop. Thanks to its sleek aluminum design, brilliant 4K display, excellent audio and strong performance, the HP Envy 17 stands out in an already crowded market. While I prefer a firmer keyboard and a touch screen, those drawbacks are not enough to diminish the notebook's finer touches.

The Envy 17's zippy performance, metallic design, vibrant colors and rich audio make it a laptop that's worth considering. However, the low brightness, awkward grid pattern on the screen and weak keyboard really hold this machine back.

NVIDIA GeForce 940MX: Mid-range laptop graphics card based on the Maxwell architecture. Compared to the older 940M, the MX now also supports GDDR5 graphics memory and maybe slightly faster clock speeds.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
