Leaked images show Google's upcoming Fitbit Edge, a fitness band with a screen designed to succeed the Fitbit Charge, reportedly offering up to 7 days of battery life, built-in GPS, and more.

Exclusive images obtained by Android Headlines show the Fitbit Edge, a new screen-equipped fitness band that appears to replace the aging Fitbit Charge line. Google has not released a new Charge model since 2023, and the Edge looks set to fill that gap with a small oval display, up to seven days of battery life, GPS, an altimeter, automatic activity recognition, and notification support.

The tracker also runs a limited set of apps, including Google Maps, YouTube Music, and Find My Phone. Unlike the Pixel Watch 5, which runs Wear OS and is Android-only, the Fitbit Edge works with both Android and iOS, matching the cross-platform support of the Fitbit Air. Google appears to be positioning the Edge as a middle tier between the screenless, budget-focused Fitbit Air and the smartwatch-class Pixel Watch 5.

The leaked images show three colorways — black, green, and orange — that line up with the Pixel 11 Pro's Obsidian, Olive, and Canyon finishes. The green and orange models use two-toned frames, with the orange variant featuring a brighter gold accent. The device has an elongated button on each side and uses a pinch mechanism for swapping bands, differing from the Pixel Watch's band system.

Google already hinted at the device's existence in Pixel 11 series promotional material back in August, where the unreleased Fitbit Edge appeared alongside other Google products. Android Headlines expects a launch before the end of the month, ahead of the holiday shopping season, with pricing likely to land between $149 and $199 based on past Fitbit Charge pricing and the Fitbit Air's $99 starting price.

With a display, GPS, and multi-day battery life at a rumored price of approximately $149, and without running Wear OS, the Edge effectively competes in the smart band category occupied by devices like the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro or the Huawei Band 11 Pro, rather than against full smartwatches. Its price sits well above the industry's typical sub-$80 Band Pro pricing, placing it closer to the premium end of that segment.
