New Fitbit smartwatch leak confirms pricing with specs before global launch

Billbil-kun has expanded upon a recent leak about Google's long-awaited successor to the Fitbit Charge 6 (curr. $131 on Amazon). To recap, Android Headlines shared multiple product images of the wearable on October 5.
Not only that, but the website provided evidence to suggest that the device would arrive as the Fitbit Edge, despite appearing in early Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5 series adverts. Now, billbil-kun claims to have received pricing information relevant to Europe.

Writing on Dealabs, the leaker asserts that the Fitbit Edge will launch for €179 in the Eurozone and £159 in the UK. Either way, this pricing represents a €20 and £20 uplift over the existing Fitbit Charge 6.
Although billbil-kun has not revealed pricing information for other regions yet, we can infer a similar increase for the US. Given that the Fitbit Charge 6 retails for $159 in the US, we suspect that the Fitbit Edge will debut there for $179.

For now, billbil-kun cannot confirm when the Fitbit Edge will officially launch. In the meantime, they report that the wearable boasts a 1.34-inch AMOLED display and IP68 certification to surpass the Fitbit Charge 6. Also, the wearable supports ECG, skin temperature and Atrial Fibrillation detection while weighing just 17.7 g.
However, battery life will remain at 7 days without always-on display (AoD) functionality enabled. Moreover, official battery life estimates will drop to 2 days when AoD is enabled. Apparently, the Fitbit Edge provides up to 24 hours of battery life with 5 minutes of charging, though. On top of that, the Fitbit Edge will support a user-replaceable battery.
