A high-end Garmin smartwatch has received a global update. Rolling out with multiple improvements, the new update promises to address several outstanding issues for the Venu X1 found in recent stable software releases.

Over a month has passed since Garmin last offered a software update to the Venu X1 (curr. $699 on Amazon). To recap, System Software 18.29 arrived with seventeen changes compared to Software Version 17.39 that preceded it.

Without warning, Garmin has replaced Software Version 18.29 with Software Version 18.32. In a forum post, Garmin claims to have already offered the new stable update to around 20% of smartwatches. Additionally, the company clarifies that Software Version 18.32 should arrive automatically via Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express.

If that has not occurred, then one can request the update manually by selecting 'Check for Updates' after navigating through the main menu to Settings, System and then Software Update. Once updated, the Venu X1 should observe silent and do not disturb modes again, which stopped working as expected in earlier firmware.

Moreover, System Software 18.32 prevents the Venu X1 from resetting when changing screens during an activity. On top of that, full Spotify playback functionality is said to have returned, as have alarm vibrations, which could have become unintentionally disabled on System Software 18.29. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details about the Venu X1's latest stable update.
