The Fitbit Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2 and Versa 4 wearables are now receiving software version 214.22. This update arrives around seven months after the last release, version 210.26, which added YouTube Music controls and Auto Detect workouts to some of these devices.
Version 214.22 brings new status indicators for all four devices. These are shown at the top of the screen when it is turned on, disappearing after three seconds. Two grey icons are visible when you are in do not disturb or sleep mode. A red battery icon will show if your device's battery level is deemed to be critically low. Finally, a phone with a strike-through appears when your Fitbit is not connected to your phone. To see these icons again, you can swipe right to show them at the top of the quick settings.
There is also a Bluetooth Security update for the Charge 6 and Inspire 3 devices. However, Google does not explain what these new features are. You can enable them by reconnecting your device as prompted in the Fitbit app.
It is unclear whether this is a phased rollout for the Fitbit Inspire 3, Sense 2, Versa 4 and Charge 6 wearables (curr. $129.95 at Amazon). When firmware version 214.22 is available for your device, you will be able to trigger the installation from the Fitbit app; go to Today > Devices, and then select your wearable.
