GoPro has announced that it has finally released the new HERO11 Black Mini to its official web-store. The "smaller, lighter" variant of the OEM's 2022 flagship action camera is also now available on sites such as Amazon. It ships without some of its brand's more premium perks in exchange for a reduced starting price.

GoPro's HERO11 Black Mini missed its original release date of October 25, 2022; however, it has now made it to the (online) shelves just in time for the holidays. It is an action cam with a 27MP resolution rated for up to 5.3K HyperSmooth 5.0 video with an 8:7 aspect-ratio, just like its flagship counterpart; however, it has a rear-facing accessory mount in place of a touchscreen.

The HERO11 Black Mini also foregoes stereo mics and inbuilt GPS to become a "smaller, lighter and simpler" new GoPro camera. Nevertheless, the OEM asserts that it still "built for anything" with 33-foot (ft, or ~10 meters (m)) water resistance.

The Mini also supports many up-to-date GoPro camera features, Night Effect Time Lapse presets, TimeWarp 3.0 at full resolution and Horizon Lock included. It can also send video to a subscriber's cloud, from where it can be sent to their smartphone as a highlights reel.

Nevertheless, the camera ships with a smaller 1,500mAh battery - although it does still have Enduro branding. The HERO11 Black Mini is now available direct from GoPro with subscription-added rebate options, or on Amazon for  US$399.99, whereas the standard 11 Black currently costs US$449.99.
